The Baby Blessing

Last Sunday (3/20) we had the privilege to have our baby boy blessed at church.  Brock blessed him with a full crowd of family (Great Grandpa Gray, Grandpa Van Wagenen, Grandpa Erickson, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Brian, Uncle Ben, and Uncle Jason).  It was a great day, and so fun to have all the family there for the event.  Usually you bless babies a little earlier on, but there's no age that they have to be blessed by.  The tuxedo is size 0-3 months, and our little boy is getting to be a big boy so we tried on the tux shirt on Saturday.  Imagine this ... Brock holding his arms above his head and me trying to pull it down over his head.  He of course did not like it, but we did get the shirt on.  He was so mad (as he should have been) that we were afraid to take off the shirt.  So, we called my Mom and drove over there to have her help us modify the outfit so that we could get it on without the tears.  She did a great job, and the only tears of the day were mine.

Of special note ... My sister Heather bought him a special blessing outfit ... and I think the only thing to say besides it's stinking cute, is that the outfit helped represent our family in Texas that couldn't make it.  Also, the blanket in the second picture was made by Great grandma Dorsey and finished by Grandma Van Wagenen for this special day.

Preston is saying "Mom it's time for a nap, please"

Preston is saying "MOM IT"S REALLY TIME FOR A NAP AND GET ME OUT OF THIS TUX"!

The two loves of my life, both handsome as ever.
