Prestons Room

Last Saturday we were able to start working on Preston's room.  It was a great day for me.  I had been waiting for a while to get the room ready for the little monkey.  The room is still work in progress and even though it didn't really make sense, because we're trying to paint and do all that good stuff, I requested that my Brother and Brock put up the crib.  I almost cried I was so happy to see that our baby has a place to sleep!

We not only worked on Preston's room but have been working on the rest of the house as well, so our house has been a work in progress for a while ( bathroom upstairs totally re-done, crown molding, wood floors downstairs, painting almost every room in the house ).  We love the new stuff, it's practically a new house.  We do have an end in site, just in time to get everything ready for Christmas :)

Just the beginning ... But the crib is up!

The Watermelon Seed

Brock and I were lucky enough to have Thanksgiving with my parents and my oldest sister Heather and her family in Texas.  It's been a bit of a tradition that we spend Thanksgiving at the "White's" house.  Heather and her hubby have 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl.  We had a great time with everyone, as always.

When I showed up with my bulging belly the kids were funny about what they said to me and how they looked at me as I walked around.  The best comment came from my 6yr old niece, Breanna.  She waited until everybody was out of the room, came over to me and sat on my lap for a snuggle and said "Aunt Haylee did you swallow a watermelon seed and that's why your stomach is so big?"  It took everything I had not to laugh at this seriously, serious question.  I told her that my stomach is big because baby Preston is growing in there.  She scrunched up her face in confusion and said "Ohhhh, so there's a baby and a watermelon growing in your stomach?"  I told her there was just a baby, and right then Preston started to wiggle, so I took her hand and put it on my stomach and she was able to feel him move around.  Her eyes lit up and she understood.  Gotta love it!

Today (12/1) I had my 32 week check up and all is going well.  Preston is still measuring about 1 cm big and moving around like a money.  Both of us are health and everything is moving along as it should.
